Where the sands meets the atlantic ocean the crowds gets as thick as a jungle and cameras as large as my...arm start to pop up everywhere.

Nicaragua is following at a couple of decades of distance Costa Rica in terms of tourism development. In both cases the driving engine is surfing, and trust me, for a surfer there's nothing more desirable than what you see above in terms of accommodation.
The wet season is not about grey depressing days, it's about variety. You gotta love variety in a place where all you've have to do is surf, sleep and eat..and whatever helps you in doing those three things.

The north atlantic is swiped by a strong winterly low-pressiour system, it often is, the coasts of Irland, France and Protugal see scary, dark, cold, windy waters with a heavy-cocain-dose like behaviour.
Just a couple of hours of flight away, this majestic land is blessed with sheet-glass, high-energy endless lines of swell in a colorfull 25 degrees, blue skies panorama.
That was the case of december 2012.

A few shots from the penultimate stop in the ASP world tour 2013. The contest took place in Portugal in october in a small fishing village called Peniche. The arena for this clash between the best surfers in the world is the world class beach break of Supertubos.

The opera house is the symbol of Sydney and for a good reason. It stands on the City's bay entrance like a giant lighthouse guiding you to the ciy gates. And no matter if you see it from a boat, the shore or quickly appearing between the tall buildings, you can't help but to fix your eyes on it.
